For Gareth, football has always been about belonging — the noise, the community, the feeling that you’re part of something bigger than yourself. That’s why the work of Level Playing Field means so much to him.
They’re a disability fan‑advocacy charity making sure every supporter, no matter their circumstances, can experience live sport with the same excitement, dignity, and independence as everyone else.
Stoke City proudly supports this mission through their Unite For Access campaign, and it’s a cause close to Gareth’s heart.
Having lived with a childhood stammer, anxiety, and an epilepsy diagnosis, he knows what it feels like to face barriers — and what it means when those barriers are removed.

The club has taken real, practical steps to make matchdays more inclusive, including:
- Accessible seating that keeps fans at the heart of the action
- Easy‑access routes and turnstiles for wheelchair users and those with mobility needs

- Clear, friendly guidance so supporters can plan their visit with confidence
These aren’t just “features” — they’re lifelines that help people feel welcome, valued, and part of the club they love.
