For Gareth, football has always been about belonging — the noise, the community, the feeling that you’re part of something bigger than yourself. That’s why the work of Level Playing Field means so much to him.
They’re a disability fan‑advocacy charity making sure every supporter, no matter their circumstances, can experience live sport with the same excitement, dignity, and independence as everyone else.
Stoke City proudly supports this mission through their Unite For Access campaign, and it’s a cause close to Gareth’s heart.
Having lived with a childhood stammer, anxiety, and an epilepsy diagnosis, he knows what it feels like to face barriers — and what it means when those barriers are removed.

These aren’t just “features” — they’re lifelines that help people feel welcome, valued, and part of the club they love.

Level Playing Field encourages both disabled and nondisabled fans to get behind the Unite For Access campaign, because creating a truly inclusive sporting world is something we all play a part in.

And when we remove barriers, share stories, and stand together, the game becomes even stronger.
